Does Whatsapp work if your device is off?
No! Whatsapp won’t work if your device is not on. The device by which Whatsapp is synced should be on with an active internet connection. Once connected to Whatsapp Web on desktop, if you will close your browser or even shut down your system, it won’t log you out of Whatsapp. This means that whenever you open your system and visit web.whatsapp.com, your chats will automatically be open.
Apart from this, it is not even necessary to keep your phone nearby to you while using Whatsapp web. The only simple thing is that your phone should have an active data or Wi-Fi connection that it doesn’t create issues, even if it’s miles away.
